Toolsnest is built to be private by default. The overwhelming majority of our tools run entirely inside your web browser using client-side JavaScript. When you merge a PDF, resize an image, format JSON or run a calculator, the file or text you provide is processed on your own device and is never uploaded to our servers. We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or sees your documents.

What we do not collect

• The contents of any file you open in a tool.
• The text, code, images, or numbers you paste or type into a tool.
• Accounts — Toolsnest requires no sign-up, so we hold no passwords or profiles.

What we may collect

To understand which tools are useful and to keep the site fast, we may use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service that records aggregate, anonymous page-view counts. This data cannot identify you and never includes the contents of your files. If you contact us through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you choose to send so that we can reply — nothing more.

Cookies and local storage

Toolsnest uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Some tools store small preferences (such as your light or dark theme choice) in your browser’s local storage. That information stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Third-party services

The contact form is delivered by a third-party form service, and analytics, if enabled, is provided by a privacy-focused analytics provider. These providers process only the limited data described above, under their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Because we do not build profiles or store your files, there is normally nothing personal for us to retrieve or delete. If you have emailed us and would like your message removed from our inbox, just ask and we will delete it.
